As an Eagle Oaks wedding photographer, I never get tired of this venue — and Jaclyn and Steven reminded me exactly why. Warmth, laughter, a killer playlist, a vintage red car straight out of a dream, and a love story the camera simply could not look away from.
September 21st. If you know, you know. Earth, Wind & Fire’s September was not just their wedding date — it was their anthem. The second that opening bassline hit the dance floor, the room erupted. Watching Jaclyn and Steven surrounded by every person they love, moving to that song, on the exact date the song was written about — I genuinely got chills behind my camera. That’s the kind of magic you can’t plan; it just is.
If you’re searching for a wedding venue in Farmingdale, New Jersey, Eagle Oaks Country Club belongs at the top of your list — and now I can say that from firsthand experience. Nestled in Monmouth County, this venue delivers classic country club elegance that photographs beautifully in every season. But something about the September light streaming through those windows felt made for Jaclyn and Steven specifically.
The grounds give you so much to work with — lush fairways, manicured landscaping, and architectural details that serve as a stunning natural backdrop whether you’re shooting formal portraits or candid moments. The interior is equally gorgeous: warm tones, generous space, and a ballroom that transforms effortlessly from an intimate ceremony to an all-out reception celebration. As an Eagle Oaks wedding photographer shooting here for the first time, I was genuinely impressed at every turn.
“Eagle Oaks gives you classic elegance and room to breathe — exactly what a wedding photographer hopes for.”
Let me tell you about the vintage red car. Deep candy-apple red, chrome gleaming, the kind of vehicle that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a 1960s film still. Against the greens of the Eagle Oaks grounds and Jaclyn’s gown, the color contrast was absolutely electric.
We used the car for bridal portraits, couples portraits, and even snuck in a few playful shots with the full wedding party. There’s something about a beautiful vintage automobile that brings out a specific kind of joy — everyone relaxed, laughed, leaned in. Some of my absolute favorite frames from the entire day came from those moments beside that red car. It will forever be one of my favorite details I’ve ever photographed.
Jaclyn’s bridal party was dressed head-to-toe in black — and honestly, it was the perfect choice. Black bridesmaid dresses photograph with a sophistication that never goes out of style. Against Jaclyn’s white gown, the contrast was dramatic and editorial without trying too hard. With the vintage red car in the frame, the black-and-white-and-red palette felt completely intentional and cohesive in the most stunning way.
Steven’s groomsmen complemented the look beautifully, and when the full wedding party came together, I remember thinking: this is a magazine cover. That’s the kind of thought a photographer lives for.
From the very first look — the moment Steven turned and saw Jaclyn for the first time — the day had a heartbeat all its own. They are the kind of couple who are deeply, quietly in love in a way that photographs effortlessly. No posing required. I’d direct them to stand somewhere, and they’d naturally find each other — his hand at the small of her back, her laugh turning into something soft and real.
Their ceremony was full of emotion. Vows that made people reach for tissues. A flower girl who was absolutely convinced she was the main event (she was not wrong). And an officiant who clearly knew and loved this couple deeply, because every word landed with weight and warmth.
The reception was alive from the first toast to the last song. Cocktail hour on the patio as golden September light did exactly what I needed it to. By the time dinner was served, the energy was already building — you could feel it.
And then came September. Earth, Wind & Fire. September 21st. On September 21st. The dance floor filled with every single person, and it was joyful and loud and perfect. I shot through the entire song because I couldn’t stop.
The rest of the night was no less electric — toasts that landed, a first dance that was everything, and two people who never once looked tired of being in love.
If you are planning a wedding at Eagle Oaks Country Club and still searching for your photographer, I would love nothing more than to come back to this venue. Jaclyn and Steven showed me just how stunning a wedding here can be, and I am actively seeking more couples who want beautiful, emotional, story-driven images in this space. Let’s connect.
To Jaclyn and Steven: thank you for trusting me with your day. Thank you for the vintage red car, the black dresses, the September 21st playlist, and the way you two simply aretogether. It was an honor. Here’s to forever.
