Loose, garden style arrangements filled the ceremony space and reception tables, mixing in just enough blue to tie the bouquets back to the water on either side of the property.

Florals that pull from the landscape instead of fighting it create a sense of cohesion in every photo, from the bridal portraits on the dock to the wide shots of the reception tent glowing at sunset.

Every angle has a view, which makes it one of the easiest venues on Long Beach Island to photograph well no matter where the sun happens to be.
The pink and black color combination held up beautifully through the ceremony too. As the bridal party lined up against the water, the contrast between the soft bridesmaid dresses and the sharp black tuxedos gave the whole scene a polished, intentional look without ever feeling overly formal.
Golden Hour Portraits on the Water
Bonnet Island Estate earns its reputation once golden hour arrives, and Jackie and Jake’s portraits were proof of that all over again. We moved around the property chasing the last of the light, using the docks, the marsh grass and the open bay views to frame portrait after portrait. The light at this venue has a way of turning even simple shots into something that feels cinematic, and pairing that with a coastal palette of blush, white and light blue only made it better.
This is usually my favorite part of any Bonnet Island summer wedding to photograph. The wind picks up a little, the light turns gold, and couples who have been a bit camera shy all day tend to loosen up completely once they realize there is nowhere prettier to stand.

Jackie and Jake’s reception kept the same coastal color story going, from the floral arrangements on the tables to the soft lighting strung throughout the tent.
